9.5 inches in!

There were a few rows that about killed me, definately slowed me down...but I learned my lesson and am employing a counter to tell me whether or not it is time to cable, not my stressed out brain! I'm very close to 1/3 done with this blanket - in only a week! I'm flying through this thing. Which is good. The sooner I finish it, the more cute baby stuff I get to make!

And I've cast on again...

I have no idea why I'm suddenly a knitting machine again. Probably has to do with not really wanting to pack...I just want this move OVER wtih.

Right now I've got the cabled baby blanket from Vogue Baby Blankets Two on the needles. I swatched Tuesday and Wednesday, cast on Wednesday night, and am one row short of the complete first pattern repeat. It took all of maybe four cables across for me to look up how to cable without a cable needle, which seems to be nice. 1.5" down, 28.5" to go!

Pictures forthcoming...but not tonight.

And the shawl is done!

So I'm not sure what's up with the pinkish tint to the pictures...these were just quick snaps anyway. I still have to weave in the ends and block it...but the knittin' is done!

The green in the back right corner is most on.

The coolest thing was seeing it's actual size come to life as I bound off! Since it was made in the round on circs, I never really saw what size it was going to be til I was done.

Paisley knit shawl - almost there!

I'm so excited - I'm over 5/8 bound off!

(I so moved in with a math major).

So close...

I'm almost there on the paisley knit shawl. I have approximately 16 rows to go...so I should hopefully finish in the next few weeks (though moving will most certainly slow that down a bit!).

Progress pictures (I'm even further now):
